ABOUT US

Welcome to Aviation Illustrated, a passionate project dedicated to exploring and celebrating the fascinating world of military and civil aviation through simple and direct texts, along with photos and detailed illustrations.

I am Alexandre Guedes, the creator and illustrator behind this blog. My passion for aviation began in childhood and, over the years, has deepened into a particular interest in the history of aircraft, their technical characteristics, and especially the rich variety of their liveries and camouflage patterns.

I am a self-taught graphic designer and passionate about the art of illustration, and that's why I decided to create Aviation Illustrated to share this passion of mine in a unique way. I noticed that many other websites about aviation mainly focus on technical texts or photographs, and I missed an approach that combined accessible information with detailed and artistic visual representations of civil and military aircraft.

The goal of Aviation Illustrated is to offer aviation enthusiasts, curious minds, and art appreciators a fresh perspective on the world of flight. Here, you will find:

  • Captivating Stories: Articles that tell the story behind specific aircraft, their notable achievements, and the contexts in which they operated.

  • Visual Details: Original and exclusive illustrations, rich in detail, that explore the diverse paint schemes, markings, and camouflages that make each aircraft unique.

  • Accessible Content: Texts written in a clear and engaging manner, so that anyone can learn about and become interested in the subject, regardless of their prior aviation knowledge.

  • Shared Passion: A space to connect people who share a fascination with the sky and the machines that traverse it.

I hope you enjoy exploring Aviation Illustrated and that my illustrations and texts bring a new dimension to your appreciation for the world of aviation. If you have any questions, suggestions, or just want to say hello, please feel free to contact us through our Contact page or 1 through your comments on the posts.
